Your Path to Wellness
Welcome to our yoga community, where ancient traditions meet modern practices. With certified training from Ek Omkar Yoga in India and a deep commitment to personal growth, we aim to create a nurturing space for every individual.
I am Sarah. I discovered yoga more than six years ago at the gym near my home that offered a variety of fitness classes. At first, I did it to calm my stress, to relax after a day of work.
I continued to practice yoga regularly even when I moved to the Netherlands, then during COVID in 2020 when the gym was closed, I started to follow YouTube videos and practicing yoga with a teacher, Adrienne Miller, who offered videos on the practice of yoga postures, but also talked about the associated sensations and emotions, and that’s when I understood that yoga was a wider way of thinking and living life, beyond a sport practice and a way of reconnecting with one’s body and mind.
My practice became more frequent, from a weekly practice to a practice several times a week. I felt the need for it regularly, being unable to move outside of my flat during the lockdowns. Little by little, yoga took a more important place in my life.
After COVID, I returned to France and resumed classes in the gym while continuing to practice at home with YouTube videos. During the summer of 2021, I followed a two-week yoga retreat in Aix-en-Provence at the Centre du Payanet, where yoga teachers from all over France gave various classes and workshops. I took Vinyasa and Hatha classes, to the sounds of Tibetan bowls, as well as workshops related to spirituality. At a more difficult time in my life, it helped me heal, externalize negative emotions and recharge my batteries.
In May 2024, I had a period of professional questioning, related to an overload of work that I was unable to cope with. I have often questioned myself about the work in finance that I have been doing for 10 years. This somehow complicated period gave me the trigger to allow myself to explore other professional paths and take more time to follow a life that would better suit me. I thought about yoga. I then followed a 200-hour training course in India in October 2024 certified by Yoga Alliance, RYT-200 with Ek Omkar Yoga. Since my return, I have started giving classes to those around me and will soon be doing replacements in the class where I practice yoga.
Today yoga is part of my daily life, and I want to share this art of living that has changed my life, by accompanying people with kindness and confidence, by adapting the classes to the desires and needs of each, while continuing to train myself to become a better teacher and student.
Flow is a state of perpetual movement like life is. In flow, breathing synchronizes with the movements of the body so that vital energy (prana) circulates through. The state of flow allows for meditation in movement and engagement in the present moment.
Evolving in yoga postures as in life and moving forward as serenely as possible, in peace with who we are and in consciousness is very important. Moving forward in peace also allows us to spread this state of mind in the world, because we act with more kindness, patience and compassion towards others. Spreading inner peace also means adopting fundamental values of yoga, such as ahimsa (non-violence), respect, gratitude and love. I want to spread this peace on my scale to contribute to a more serene world.

Whether you want to discover yoga gently to improve yourself, I adapt my classes according to your level and your needs.
In a world of performance and always faster paced that can make us feel overwhelmed, I invite you to take time for yourself. Yoga has many benefits: everyone must find their own. Yoga helps to calm stress, anxiety, calm an intrusive mind and negative thoughts. It allows you to take care of your body through postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama which means the force of life), chants (mantras) and meditation.

Hatha Yoga
Hatha yoga is a very ancient yoga practice that aims to stay more or less longer in the postures in order to get rid of the physical, mental and energetic tensions present in the body.
Hatha Yoga is often described as a gentle and accessible practice, ideal for beginners as well as experienced practitioners. Thanks to its slow and conscientious sequences, it allows you to connect with your body, listen to your limits and go at your own pace, while developing greater presence and increased concentration.
The term “Hatha” comes from Sanskrit, where “Ha” means “sun” and “Tha” means “moon”, symbolizing the union of opposing and complementary forces that exist within us, which are to be balanced.
The class usually begins with a moment sitting on the mat to arrive in the present moment, followed by the singing of the sound of the universe “OM”.
Then we continue with a sequence of postures (asanas) gently or more dynamically. Holding the postures allows you to feel your body, to face sensations of stretching that are sometimes uncomfortable but which you should explore and welcome as best you can, without judgment, respecting your body. Breath (prana) allows you to reconnect to the sensations and the present moment.
The class ends with a relaxation of all the limbs of the body followed by a possible breathing session and to finish the session an instant meditation class.

Ashtanga Yoga
Ashtanga is a more dynamic practice consisting of several series democratized by Pattabhi Jois at the foundation of the Ashtanga Institute in Mysore, India. The teaching of Ashtanga is said to have been transmitted from master to master, codified by Vamana Rishi then transmitted to Brahmachari then Krishnamacharya.
It is a traditional style of yoga that also includes vinyasa, combining breath and movement. Breathing during the sequence of postures is extremely important.
Ashtanga means eight limbs in Sanskrit, referring to the 8 practices of the discipline. The postures allow you to gain strength and flexibility, discipline the mind and strengthen the body, while eliminating toxins.
The practice of Ashtanga includes 6 series, gradual in intensity. The postures include different levels of complexity (A, B, C and sometimes D). I can accompany you to the introduction of the first series, at your own pace and according to your abilities and needs.

Mantra Chanting
The chanting of Indian mantras, an ancestral practice deeply rooted in the spiritual traditions of India, is a form of sound meditation that connects the mind and heart to universal vibrations. Mantras, sacred words or phrases in Sanskrit, are repeated in a ritualistic manner to awaken higher states of consciousness.
Each mantra has a particular vibrational frequency that is believed to resonate with the energy of the body and mind. By reciting these mantras, out loud, then whispering them and finally internalizing them, we create an inner space conducive to peace, concentration and healing. The sounds produced, carrying a spiritual force, help to calm the mind, reduce stress and bring a deep feeling of serenity.
Among the best-known mantras, we find the Om, symbol of the universe and supreme consciousness, the Gayatri mantra, hymn to light and wisdom, or the Mahamrityunjaya mantra, invoking healing and longevity. Each of these mantras embodies a specific energy.
Practicing the chanting of mantras, alone or in a group, opens the way to an inner transformation, by bringing clarity, calm and inspiration. It is an invitation to detach oneself from external distractions to enter into harmony with the inner world.

Pranayama
Pranayama is an essential practice of yoga that focuses on the control of breathing. The term “pranayama” comes from Sanskrit, where “prana” means “vital energy” and “ayama” means “extension” or “expansion”. Together, these words designate the art of extending and controlling vital energy through breathing.
Pranayama is based on the awareness of our breath, a fundamental link between the body and the mind. By practicing different breathing techniques, we learn to regulate the flow of air, slow down or intensify the breathing rhythm and transform the energy that passes through us. Pranayama techniques include deep, alternate breathing, or controlled pauses between inhalations and exhalations, such as abdominal breathing, alternate nostril breathing (Nadi Shodhana), or the breath of fire (Kapalabhati).
The benefits of pranayama are numerous. On a physical level, it improves lung capacity, increases the body’s oxygenation and strengthens the immune system. It also helps regulate heart function and reduce stress by activating the parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for relaxation and recovery, or by preparing to react to stress by stimulating the sympathetic system in the case of the Breath of Fire.

Yoga Philosophy
Yoga philosophy classes offer a deep exploration of the principles and teachings that underlie this age-old practice. Beyond physical postures (asanas) and breathing exercises (pranayama), yoga is also a spiritual path based on ancient philosophies that nourish the soul and spirit.
In yoga philosophy classes, we delve into classical texts such as the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads and other fundamental writings that guide yogic practice and thought. These teachings cover essential concepts such as ethics, meditation, detachment, self-discipline and the search for oneness with the divine.
The classes do not simply impart theoretical knowledge. They invite personal reflection on how these principles can be applied in daily life. The aim is to create a space where participants can explore their own relationship with the concepts of yoga, from the broadest to the most subtle.

Applied Yoga Anatomy
The applied yoga anatomy classes offer an in-depth understanding of the human body and how it interacts with postures, movements and breathing techniques. They are designed to help both beginners and experienced practitioners better understand their own bodies and adapt their yoga practice safely and effectively.
Participants learn how muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints interact, and how the breath, as the engine of the circulation of vital energy (prana), influences these body mechanics. A clear understanding of anatomy allows you to better feel your body, adjust your postures more precisely and identify areas of tension or weakness, in order to work on them safely.
This approach allows each participant to adapt their practice to their own body, avoid unnecessary tension and prevent injuries. By better understanding the internal functioning of the body, yoga practitioners are able to create a more fluid, more efficient and more respectful practice of their limits.
Yoga anatomy classes are therefore an essential complement to physical practice, offering the tools necessary to deepen understanding of the body, improve well-being and go further in personal development on the mat.
